Stork Billed Kingfisher, Not so common here like white breasted. Shoot at the backyard of my house.
Nikon D3000, 70-300 @300mm, ISO 200, F8, 1/200, Cropped to make this panoramic composition. Waiting for comments.

Nice profile image. The clean background looks good. I feel a rectangular framing would have worked well in this case. Thanks for sharing.

Nice image.Natural colours. But for kingfishers,I like full image of the bird including tail. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
You can post a larger image upto 1024 pixels on the longest side for us to appreciate it better.
I agree that without the tail, it looks incomplete. With animals, one can frame the image with the limb joints. With birds cutting off part of the body and getting a pleasing image is difficult. Our eye always looks for the continuity and hence looks for the complete tail/feathers.
The bacground is nicely diffused. Thanks for sharing.

@ Sabyasachi sir and Saktipada sir, actually the bird was perched on an electrical wire so I cut out the wire, though I have another with full tail. I can also post it here for your critique. Thanks.
