I agree with Mrudul's comments. When the bird is close, it is easier to get focus right on the eye. Else, it becomes a challenge. In case of large crops, a lower ISO would be better. However, that also reduces the shutter speed (if on aperture priority). In this case a higher shutter speed would have been better. Thanks for sharing.
