Nice image. The whites in the throat is a bit hot. I would recover it during processing. Since you were clicking from a car, else a lower angle would have strengthened the image.

Agree about the whites and the angle, but I do like the way the heron stands out from the BG.

But mud at the background is boosting colors and shape of Heron. I always like sun rays falling on wings of heron which get reflected much decently than other birds.

I always pity on these birds like Herons and Egrets. They adapt themselves in any bad, slum, muddy areas. They don't have attitude and standards of living like other birds.
