Lovely moment captured.Nice details under the wing. A bit more head turn in your direction would have strengthtened the image further.

I like the composition. You have got the wings fully stretched upwards. Normally, the most pleasing compositions are when the wings are completely up or completely down.
I wish for a better eye contact. Since you were hiding at one place, you can't do anything about the head angle. If the brahminy kite would have flown parallel to you, then it would have been really nice.

A bit of motion-like blur on the wing tips, even with 1/1000, wonder why... Also,I agree that it would have been better if the kite flew more towards you...
Nevertheless you seem to be doing wonders with that 135mm!
