Not sure why the background looks multicoloured. A bit more brightness would have been better.

In the old days when we used to shoot in slides, the composition was decided in the camera. So one had to be careful about the amount of shots clicked. So we used to spend more time with each subject, trying to get as much close as possible. The closer one is to the subject, the better is the image.
