I am not sure how the government can be fully committed to "protecting the ecology and sanctity of Western Ghats" and at the same time will not impact the business activities.
In paper it may look innocuous that "people living in Western Ghats region will not be affected" but in reality we know what happens on the ground. The rampant exploitation may continue under the cloak of normal business and livelihood activities.
It's an open secret now, what the 'land rights for Tribals', that was promulgated by YSR, has done to the forests of erstwhile AP, especially north Telangana, almost the entire pristine teak forests have been decimated and along with that the whole tiger population of north Telangana. When we cross over to Maharashtra enroute to TART we can see the contrast on either side.
