Open billed stork quenching thirst

This is from my archives. This open billed stork image is from Ranganathittu. We were in a boat and when I saw this open billed stork land to drink water, I asked the boat guy to reorient the boat so that I get a better angle.

Canon EOS 400mm f2.8 L IS USM lens with EF 2xII TC, ISO 8800, f8, 1/1000, full frame image.

I wanted the water to reflect and shine in the morning light, so decided to expose more to the right.

Beautiful freeze .The water splashing looks like a cut glass creation .The composition feels a bit tight though .You may have been a little too close with the long lens .Thanks for sharing
