Nice picture of the wagtail by the water, Sabyasachi. I have noticed it often that when using a lens+tc combination focus and sharpness always is a trade off. This image looks a bit soft as well and I think it may be due to the combination, please correct me if that's not the case. Thanks for sharing.

I am facing some issues with my lightroom. While converting in another software I had reduced the sharpening to zero and it turns the image soft. I was also in a moving boat and the subject is much smaller. So tiny hairs don't give an impression of sharpness unless one zooms in into the image. Will post a version later.

You are right that TC reduces the quality. However, the 400 f2.8 Lens is the only one where the slight drop in sharpness is manageable. I have often shot with it and it works. The TC loses sharpness in all other lenses drastically to make it very noticeable.
